Donor Advised & Endowment Funds
A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a giving vehicle that provides tax benefits and allows you to support your charities of choice through grant recommendations on your own timetable. These donors established Funds to meet needs in the community. All of these Funds can accept your tax deductible donations.
Clarence Muirhead Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Clarence Muirhead Memorial Scholarship provides an annual scholarship awarded to a graduating, Apple Valley High School senior who competed in Cross Country his or her senior year and is pursuing a mathematics curriculum in memory of Clarence Muirhead.
Florence Lindberg Scholarship Fund
The Florence Lindberg Scholarship Fund provides an annual scholarship for graduating High School students who are residents of the City of Adelanto.
Mojave Aquatics Coalition (MAC)
MAC was formed for the purpose of providing the community with aquatics facilities, programs, and associated services, thereby promoting health and wellness benefits.
Tanya Gordon Memorial Scholarship Fund
This Fund provides college scholarships to local students in memory of a beloved daughter, Tanya Gordon. Two of the scholarships are targeted for students from middle class families who cannot get financial aid, yet incur tremendous financial expense.
The Towle Family Fund
This Donor Advised Fund supports various charities as determined by the Donor’s Fund Advisor.
Trever Bennett Memorial Art Scholarship Fund
The Trever Bennett Memorial Art Scholarship is awarded on an annual basis and is open to graduating seniors who are pursuing a degree in Fine Arts.
The Walter E. & Margaret Muir Cramer Compassion Fund
Walter and Margaret “Maggie” Cramer were the original founders of the High Desert Community Foundation, which was previously known as Streams In The Desert Foundation. Through their vision and generosity, the Foundation has grown to be a vital part of the philanthropic sector in our region. This donor advised fund focuses on needs of children.
