In Loving Memory of Carollee Stater

Obituary 12/30/1939 to 8/1/2014

Carollee Stater was born in Pittsburg PA on December 30, 1939. She passed away shortly after celebrating her 50th anniversary with her husband Gary. Carollee battled cancer for nearly 9 years. She moved to Apple Valley in 1969 with her husband Gary and infant son Keith.

Carollee is survived by her husband Gary Stater, son Keith Stater, daughter Tami (Stater) Meade and her 5 grandchildren.

Carollee was passionate about community service; including her 12 years serving on the VVCC college board, 17 years as a librarian in Apple Valley and Adelanto (as branch manager) the Assistance League of Victor Valley,  Girl Scouts, The High Desert Community Foundation Board, Red Cross Board, American Heart Association Board, and many more community service groups. She was also a passionate gardener and was a prolific reader.

A scholarship fund has been established in Carollee’s name for women attending Victor Valley Community College.
