Jeanne's Purse logo-1Jeanne’s Purse – Everyone’s Grandma

This Project was established in honor of Jeanne Blackwell  by her family.  Jeanne was a mom, grandma, long-time teacher, school board member, attorney, and community volunteer/activist.  She was a dynamic and giving person, always focusing on helping others to succeed in their own lives.  She was quick to help anyone and everyone with tangible forms of support in addition to sharing her time and talents.

This Project provides funding to meet a wide variety of needs for the youth in our High Desert community. The primary focus will be assisting youth through the funding of registration fees, materials, and other items to promote health, education and well-being.  Advisors work with therapists, social workers, peace officers, teachers, counselors, coaches and others who work with the youth and are aware of specific needs.

Additionally, this fund offers a scholarship to anyone attending any year of college, trade school or training program. This person must be planning to serve others in their future career. Click here for more information.

If you would like to request funding on behalf of a child/young adult, please complete the referral form below and return it to the High Desert Community Foundation.
