Soroptimist International of Victor Valley is a business and professional women’s service organization whose goal is to help women and girls in our community.  We also contribute to efforts to help women and girls throughout the world.

Irene Somerset Gould was a successful local businesswoman and a Charter Member of Soroptimist International of Victor Valley.  The Irene Somerset Gould Memorial Endowment Fund was established in 2006 and will benefit Soroptimist International of Victor Valley forever.

In the past, Soroptimist International of Victor Valley has sponsored a Health Fair for pregnant females and teenage parents, given trauma bears to American Medical Response for distribution to children who have to ride in an ambulance, helped local families during the holidays, made donations to Moses House Ministries, Rose of Sharon, St. John of God’s, Victor Valley Domestic Violence Program, High Desert Child, Adolescent & Family Services Center, High Desert Youth Center, Ronald McDonald charities, the Red Cross, breast cancer research, preventing the trafficking of women, teaching women occupations, world hunger, local education, local military recognition, sports teams, and fire victims. SIVV has also partnered with Happy Trails Children’s Foundation the past two years to award scholarships to local female students.
