Richard Espinosa & Bruce Schumacher

66-year old Bruce Schumacher sustained devastating losses in the recent Hill Fire. In this fire, he lost more than 100 of his beloved animals. Mostly goats and sheep, but all kinds of animals…including birds and rabbits. His treasured llama, Little Man, stood guard over a flock about 35 sheep. All the sheep survived, but sadly Little Man succumbed to his injuries several days after the fire. You can read about this very special llama here:

Bruce also lost his uninsured house which what was going to be his retirement home. He lost personal belongings, antiques, other vehicles, and his tractor.  He was counting on his livestock business to support him in his retirement.

There has been an outpouring of support for Bruce as he cares for his injured animals and begins the rebuilding process.  If you would like to help, please call Cheryl at (909) 855-0625 or (760) 868-0066 to ascertain what is needed or to volunteer to help.
